" With petites being such a huge target market, I feel the industry not only limits themselves, but also the talent and beauty of the forgotten. We as petites have much potential, which is being limited by the modeling industry."
-Dawn Parr 5'0

" I feel the industry should start using petites in all aspects of the modeling industry. There are a lot of models under 5'6 being overlooked. I feel as petites we also should be included in fashion shows."
-Diane Vrolson 5'4

" I have never paid a great deal of attention to the modeling industry. However, whenever I attempt to buy clothes (I wear a size petite 0), I find it extremely difficult to find things that fit. There are of course, those rare stores that specialize in petite sizes. It is clear that clothing industry producers have failed to take into consideration the large market that petites make up. This same disregard is also apparent in the modeling industry. Perhaps clothing industry producers could make life easier for petites by both developing the petite market and publicizing their products in the world of modeling."

" At the age of fifteen, I attended a Proscout Model Search contest in the Twin Cities. Out of fifty agencies not one saw remotely anything in me, or gave me a chance. My self esteem level went from boiling to below zero."
-Melissa Anderson 5''2 1/2

" According to the 2000 US Census, there are over 140 million women in the US, 80% or approximately 112 million are under 5'6 and are considered petite. As a 5'4 1/2 woman, I should be in the majority, but when it comes to the world of fashion that is unfortunately not true. Very few petite clothing manufactures use petite models for fitting their garments or marketing them. The plus size women have started their fashion revolution, now it's time for petite women to start their own. We need to let the fashion world know we want clothing that is made to fit us, not scaled down versions created on lanky fashion models that result in disproportionate clothing. As petite women, we are the majority of consumers, it's time to let our voices be heard! "
-Pamela Faye 5'4 1/2

" Petite and normal sizes should be where the fashion industries look lies. I mean honestly think about how many women you know who are tall and skinny, then think about how many you know who are not! "
-Jessa Welsh 5'5

" The high fashion industry needs to take a new look at the petite market. We petites would like to see a designer who thinks out of the box and can use his creativity to expand the high fashion market.
Remember... Dynamite comes in small packages."
